The 2017 Maserati Levante S is equipped with an electronic vision system from Magna. It is worth noting that in addition to the camera-based driver assistance system, Magna also supplies Maserati with an all-wheel drive system, the Actimax all-wheel transfer case, which features an electronically controlled multi-disc clutch that provides variable drive torque distribution between the front and rear axles.
The Maserati Levante S has a 430 hp, twin-turbo V6 that allows the SUV to accelerate to 62 mph in 5.2 seconds and provide a top speed of 164 mph. The vehicle also features the EYERIS electronic vision system from Magna, which provides a 360-degree surround view that is based on digital video data from cameras that are located in the radiator grill, outside mirrors, and above the rear license plate. Information is displayed to the driver on an 8.4-inch touchscreen in the center console. The driver can select either a split-screen mode that shows front and rear perspectives or a birdâs-eye view. The system also makes use of ultrasonic sensors in both the front and rear of the SUV.
